Utz Sustainability Report 2023

Second edition released

Utz Sustainability Report 2023

We published the second edition of our sustainability report at the end of May. Designed in a familiar style, but with new stories and, of course, the latest facts & figures. What is particularly pleasing is that we are on the right track with all of our key performance indicators, in line with our climate strategy.

A group-wide strategy that involves all the stakeholders

All Utz companies are working to implement the group-wide climate strategy. To this end, the management teams of the individual companies have developed action plans that are adapted to the respective local circumstances and challenges. The first positive effects are already visible, such as the reduction in total emissions and the increase in the proportion of renewable electricity in total consumption.

Our employees play an active role in achieving our climate targets. One example of how they engage is the Company Challenge, which we carried out with employees from all Utz companies with the support of myclimate. This not only deepened our knowledge of climate change, but also involved planning and implementing projects to reduce the carbon footprint of our company and our products over their entire life cycle.

Increasing regulatory pressure

A great deal is also currently happening at the legislative level, with regulatory pressure increasing both nationally and internationally. We are constantly monitoring the legislative changes that are relevant to us and are proactively implementing the necessary adjustments. As a result, we are already well on the way to meeting legal requirements, such as recycling content or reusability quotas, ahead of time.
