Medical Kit Challenge: A creative trainee project with a big impact
A creative project from the ranks of our Utz trainees has attracted a lot of attention and proves once again how innovative ideas and teamwork can lead to something big. The starting point was a simple but effective idea: to convert suitcases from our warehouse and use them as practical medical kits for sports clubs in the region. What started as a small action quickly developed into an impressive project with a lot of positive feedback.
From warehouse to medical kit
Our trainees went to work with a lot of enthusiasm and creativity: They prepared 176 suitcases with the necessary first aid material. The aim was to distribute these suitcases to local sports clubs – a useful and at the same time attention-grabbing project. But that's not all! An action-packed video showing a simulated sports accident showcased the suitcases and explained the project at the same time. This video was not only shared internally, but also published on our social media channels to generate even more attention.
The Medical Kit Challenge – A competition for local sports clubs
In order to further promote the campaign and reach even more sports clubs, we started the "Medical Kit Challenge for Sports Clubs". In this competition, local teams were able to win up to six medical kits for their club. The conditions for participation were simple: the teams were asked to make a short video in which they presented their club and showed their best trick shot – be it in football, basketball or another sport.
In order for the competition to be spread on social media, the teams had to tag their video with the hashtag #utzsanikoffer and share the competition in their social media story. Each participating team received a filled medical kit. The best three videos were also rewarded with six additional suitcases for the entire club. The contest ran from April 2 to July 1, and the winners were notified directly of their successes.
More than just a competition – a contribution to the community
This project is an excellent example of how trainees can not only enrich the company with a creative idea, but also make a positive contribution to the community. The Medical Kit Challenge not only set an example for safety and precaution in sport, but also offered the participating clubs a practical benefit. At the same time, the project offered our trainees valuable experience in the areas of project management, communication and social commitment.
We are proud of the creative initiative of our trainees and with this project we show how important it is to promote innovative ideas and at the same time support the community. This is how a simple idea becomes a sustainable success – both for the company and for the local region.
