The Swiss Utz Group, a globally active manufacturer of load carriers made of recyclable plastic, has now opened its eighth branch in the picturesque San Miguel de Allende on August 17th, 2017 in Mexicos industrial corridor.
San Miguel de Allende. The storage and transport containers, pallets and workpiece carriers of the Swiss Utz Group are indispensable to industrialists, trade companies and factories in Europe. For many years, Utz's large international customers have also relied on Utz: In China Utz has a factory in Suzhou (near Shanghai), which has been operating since 2015. In the USA, Utz is just doubling the plant capacity near Indianapolis to meet local growth to come. Utz has been present in the USA since 2003 and has been operating since 2009 with its own production facilities.
The American colleagues from Utz were the inspiration for the newly opened Mexican branch. Mike Chiado (President of Americas) was an honorary member of the Grand Opening on August 17th. The Mexican CEO, Armando Robles, also invited representatives of the municipality and the federal state to the opening ceremony. The Swiss embassy in Mexico was also present, as were numerous customers and friends.
Currently, Georg Utz Mexico manufactures with its own machines in thermoforming. Customer-specific solutions, which are typical for Utz around the world, are at the forefront. Injection moulded containers and pallets are also available from stock. For Utz customers in Mexico, we offer complete returnable transport units. In the medium term, pallets and containers are also produced locally. Qualified employees in production, sales and construction stand locally for the Utz standard. Armando Robles, Managing Director of Utz Mexico, says: "Whatever the plastic returnable packaging challenge is, Georg Utz Mexico will be there to support."
