In partnership with AEW Energie AG, the energy supply company of the Canton of Aargau, Georg Utz AG in Bremgarten has facilitated a new power-charging station on the company's own parking lot. The new charging station was opened on 20 December 2017.
Power can now be recharged in two parking areas in the easily accessible parking lot of Georg Utz AG in Bremgarten. AEW Energie AG and Utz are therefore offering the owners of electric vehicles the opportunity to recharge their batteries during their visit to Bremgarten. By expanding the charging infrastructure in the canton of Aargau, AEW is helping to increase the attractiveness of the region and actively shape electromobility. With the installation of the power-charging station, Georg Utz AG has taken a further step towards implementing its sustainable corporate philosophy, i.e. to act sustainably and to handle all resources frugally. For about 25 years now, Utz has been using the waste heat from injection moulding machines in Switzerland for heating the company buildings and the process water by means of an efficient heat recovery system. The use of a new heat pump could also reduce the consumption of heating oil by a further 80% The company's management had also already decided to purchase 100% of the electricity required for production from certified European hydroelectric power plants and thus from CO2-neutral sources a few years ago.
