Automated, digitally monitored, and virtually waste-free: Utz produces climate-neutrally and with optimized use of resources.
The company's founder Georg Utz already recognized that the economy and ecology must be coordinated. Thus, we have always propagated the meaningfulness of the circular economy to our customers. As early as the 1970s, Utz began to build up know-how in using secondary raw materials and has been steadily expanding this know-how to the present day. By continuously increasing the use of our qualified secondary raw material UIC® (Utz Industrial Compound), we reduce the consumption of new raw materials.
We are taking up the challenge of "climate neutrality"
By 2030, we will produce electricity exclusively from renewable energies, and by 2035, we will significantly increase the proportion of recycled material. We want to be measured against this and will disclose our progress in the annual sustainability report. The myclimate foundation is accompanying us on this journey.
By 2035, we want to use a majority of high-quality recyclates.
